Resume Review

Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Booth Booth #1937

2021 marks our five-year milestone that APCO International has provided attendees the opportunity to have their resume professionally reviewed.

No matter what your level of experience, experts say that there are certain core elements that every resume should have. Should you include an objective? Should you write a career summary? Have your resume reviewed and critiqued by public safety HR professionals … for free!

On Monday, August 16, and Tuesday, August 17, two career counselors from Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network will be available to provide individual feedback and tips on how to enhance your resume and help you advance in your career. Each counselor will review resumes in a private and confidential setting on:

  • Monday, August 16: 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 17: 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Reserve your appointment today, as spots fill up fast.

Each appointment is for 20-minutes and the feedback will be well worth it.

At the discretion of the resume reviewers, “walk-ins” may be seen after those with an appointment. A black and white printer will be available to print your resume from a thumb-drive. No internet is available, however, so it is highly recommended that you bring a hard copy of your resume to maximize your 20-minute session.

To schedule an appointment, email Hassanah Thomas, Corporate Outreach Coordinator.

“The last time I had my resume reviewed was 10 years ago in college. When we reviewed my information, I was given ideas of what is important and what is not important to list, as well as format ideas. We discussed things that I would not have thought to list otherwise. It will be great to have a prepared resume that will be ready to provide to others in the future.”
